What a truck! This wonderful vehicle is going to move all our worldly goods from Muncie, IN to Greeley, CO. (Our goods and 2 other family's. :-) ) Gabriel couldn't believe the "cruck, cruck, cruck" (truck) right outside our window!

All our stuff is on the way to Greeley. Time for us to get going too! Gabriel was not interested in taking a "last picture in front of our house." But it made for some good facial expressions... (Thanks for being photographer, Aunt Michelle.)

We made it to Illinois (and the Central Time Zone) before stopping. Gabriel desperately needed to climb & wiggle a bit so dada helped out.

At an afternoon McDonald's stop we decided Gabriel needed some ice cream. Partly because we needed to fill time while mom & dad dealt with moving things between cars so the toddler could ride in the car with fully functioning air conditioning. Yes, it was an "adventure" of a day...

Thank goodness for Aunt Michelle! Everything is more fun with her. :-)

We made it through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and just over the line into Nebraska. We spent the night in a hotel suite in Omaha. Gabriel slept on his air mattress in the "living room." Unfortunately his air mattress (brand new!) had a hole in it. So as it sank, he apparently decided to enjoy the couch instead. This is how I found him when I woke up, stuffed animals and all.

Rosie looks thrilled for day 2 of riding in the car, doesn't she?

I can't really explain it, but there does seem to be truth behind the "big sky country" description. Driving through Nebraska and Colorado was beautiful and also quite barren.

We made it to Greeley! Our first dinner (out) in our new town.

A "welcome to Greeley" catnip party for the kitties.

It's Saturday morning, in the new house, so even without furniture it must be time to read. Somehow, he always knows. :-)

First meal in the new house! Pancake, banana, and milk. Not a bad way to settle in.

Jam session with dada! (You know I wasn't going to allow instruments to go on the moving truck...)

The kitties are still closed in the basement and regularly stick their paws under the door, begging to be released. Gabriel was trying to help them out.

This is the view at the park directly across the street from our house. We'll take it!

Testing out the playground.

"Yep, we can live here as long as I can play on this!"

And all our stuff is finally here! (We said goodbye to it on Wednesday in IN. It arrived in CO on Monday.)

Our truck driver was awesome and took great care of Gabriel. While we were waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive, he helped Gabriel climb all through the cab and even blow the horn.

This is how Gabriel supervised as our stuff was brought into the house.

The kitties are out of the basement and have claimed a favorite sunbeam. Life must be ok.

We ate an awful lot of meals out throughout this move. Gabriel and dada became pretty good and coloring together. ;-) Well, when Gabriel felt like it...

Philip took some great pictures of the outside of our house on this beautiful day. (And so many of the days here are beautiful!)
