Gabriel nearly always spends part of nap time “reading” to himself. I can’t quite tell what book he’s reading here, but it’s still awfully cute.
Playing with the air blower & scarves at the library and randomly saw our friend Peter (my colleague, Mark’s, son).
Pop & Grammie send the best gift boxes. Halloween book, stickers, & stuffed puppy from Adrian College.
The first annual UNC School of Music Day of Music! Classes are cancelled and students are out in the community making music. We enjoyed a bunch of Disney songs at the Rodarte Community Center and then ran across town…
… for some orchestra music at the library.
He’s learning how to talk to robots, and is also pretty cute singing his ABCs (at least part way).
A weekend of building and discovering with daddy.
It’s fun to look in the morning (or after nap) and see what he’s been reading and playing with.
Look at all the books he made it through!
A sip of daddy’s latte! Yes please!
Yes, a huge mess to clean up at some point. But I try really hard to always see this as a great thing. It means we played, and had fun, and he got to explore and imagine however he wanted.
Thinking about trying on mommy’s boots…
The start of a new era… Duplos! Moving from MegaBlocks to Duplos and it feels like Legos won’t be far off.
Snuggles and a show with daddy are the best.
Just a little cooking at the library.
Ice cream sundae after dinner - yes!

GJF Pumpkin patch animals 2 (10/22/16)
The view from Bartels Farm. We’re excited to check out this pumpkin patch & farm. G had an amazing time chasing the animals and also picking a pumpkin all for himself.
No big deal, just cruising down the sidewalk on his bike.
Special Halloween treat. Rice Krispy treats are the best.
We continue to be so grateful for the playground right across the street. He sure loves it!
Tried out his Daniel Tiger Halloween costume at playgroup. Fairly successful!
Trunk or treat at church. He’s getting the hang of trick or treating!
Not ready to let him carve anything yet, but he does an excellent job with just paint.
Actual Halloween! We walked up and down the street a bit and then sorted the loot.
