While daddy’s out of town there are lots of “good morning” and “good night” photos.

While riding his bike he HAS to hit every puddle.

IMG_4432.JPG

He built the whole house by himself!

IMG_4433.JPG

Marmalade got pampered at daycare for her gottcha-month celebration.

Our friends are the best. One of our mini-summer-adventures was to the Family Fun Plex pool and we had a great time with Everly & Nancy & Knight.

IMG_4470.JPG

“Good morning daddy!”

The puzzle-meister strikes again.

This girl’s hair was out of control today for no apparent reason.

These two are awfully cute.

“Brother, whatcha doin’ up on the couch?”

Typical workday for mama.

“Mama, look, I can change the music.”

How can they be this sassy so young?! This is totally “mom, why are you taking our picture again?” face.

Just like her brother - really likes pulling off just one sock.

Our newest Princess Awesome dress. Gotta love some pi!

The end of an era. Hannah & Savannah are already in NC and this crew is packing their house into the truck. It was brief, but we were so glad to hang with Michael, Ben, Uncle Mark, and Pop.

The 5-year-old is helping with a 1,000 piece puzzle! And successfully too!

I’m not sure exactly what G was enacting here, but his army creation is scaring me just a bit.

IMG_4576.JPG

Another addition to the “mama at work" series.

Riding his bike around the block and we found a new friend. “Mittens” the cat became a better friend with every lap we did past his/her house.

IMG_4601.JPG

Poco, I know you think all laundry piles belong to you, but get off the table!

Back to school night! This is Gabriel’s kindergarten classroom.

Time for ice cream with best buddy Theo.

This is the loft the older kids at G’s school built last year.

Daddy had to be out of town for back to school night, so we sent him some extra cute pictures.

Another summer mini-adventure - the indoor Playground at the Greeley Mall. It included a snack break for soft pretzel bites & G’s first Icee.

Sometimes a little movie time in mom & dad’s bed is good for all of us (especially when daddy is out of town).

IMG_4722.JPG
IMG_4726.JPG

I caught him hanging out in Rebecca’s room, reading all by himself.

Added lights to the beautiful mural Gracie painted and hung the painting our PA friends did at Gabriel’s shower. Finally “done” with R’s room.

Going to work with mom sure is exciting.

Changing the music & pulling on my toes is a new favorite past-time.

BrickFest Live! What an awesome day with daddy.

We had to buy a 3rd carseat to make life easier with the nanny, so we went with a booster. How is he this big?! While he sat in it he barely moved. He could feel the difference and was maybe a bit nervous about how “unsecure” the seat was. But he loves being so big and having this awesome new seat.

Only disadvantage of this seat, not as much support when he falls asleep. ;-)

I eat my toes! Even through pjs!

IMG_4766.JPG

Trying the first tomato harvest from the garden.

Picnic at the park. And secretly a trial-run for “can he open all the containers I have for his school lunches?” Result - he’s good to go!

IMG_4775.JPG

Again taking after her brother. Rolling over to the bouncy chair and then under it to get into trouble.

IMG_4776.JPG

Our last summer day to walk Marmalade to daycare all together. Boy on his bike. Girl with adorable toes in the sun. I sure do love them.

IMG_4785.JPG

“Women of NASA” legos that daddy brought back from BrickFest Live. Time to put it together.

231 pieces, for 10+ years old, our 5yo crushed it, by himself, in under an hour. I had to ask to help because he didn’t need me! Thank you Philip for making his first spaceship set the #WomenOfNASA.

The curtain is one of her new favorite “toys.”

Headed around the park. Really big deal because he hasn’t been interested in going around the park in over a month because of his big fall.

He did it! Rode around the entire park with no issues at all! Such a rockstar.

Clearly she’s excited for her brother’s success riding around the park. ;-)

Too adorable a pose not to capture.

Why does this child have to try electrocuting herself? Leave the power cord alone!

Assuming the usual posture while brother bike rides & mama walks super fast.

Enjoying the Poudre River Trail and beautiful Colorado day.

Finished the 1,000 piece Harry Potter puzzle. So fun!

“Mama, I think there’s something on my face. Can you help me out?” (Spit up, all the time, everywhere…)

The Sculpture Park was a wonderful summer mini-adventure. The statues “I Can Dance” and “I’m Good at This” were particularly appropriate for this boy.

“Mama, what are these things on my legs?”

Getting excited for soccer practice.

Trying real hard to escape her carseat.

Channeling her brother and his past love of chewing on these tiles.

Super excited to find this praying mantis. It started walking/jumping around and climbed way up the wall so we waved bye.

Last weekend before school starts = extra fun adventure at the Denver Children’s Museum. Adventure Forest was definitely the highlight (a 500 ft. long aerial adventure course laced with a hidden journey). But other fun came from the indoor altitude climber, “cooking” apples, creating bubbles, and exploring water features.

First day of kindergarten was a half day and a huge success! He was first in line for everything and had no trouble at all leaving mama & daddy. Such a rockstar. We celebrated after by picking up a comic book, getting a pizza lunch, and enjoying the playground.

First day of school!

How is she big enough to reach the hanging toys?

We made it! It’s Friday night after a week of school for G, a week of meetings & prep & recruiting for mama, and daddy being at home with R. It was quite a week and we needed a chill pizza & movie night.

IMG_5130.JPG

“I think I’ll borrow brother’s stuffed animals for a bit.”

Giving brother hugs is one of my new favorite things to do.

The return of Hoppy! Hoping it brings hours of enjoyment to Rebecca, as it did to Gabriel.

So far, so good, with enjoying this new contraption.

Awfully cute sleepy pose. :-)

“I want to escape out this end of the bed.”

IMG_5168.JPG

Dinosaur onesie, dinosaur leggings, and dinosaur noises as she roars.

Another way to hang out in mama’s office.

IMG_5174.JPG

Caught them being extra sweet & cute!
